Devlog #8 - Meet some of the Characters

Introducing our antagonist and your future boss, Bad Bat. This sociopath with a trust fund has the singular goal of taking control of the city and he’s gonna use you to do it. Money is no object and from his high tech lair he plots his takeover. Neither side of the law will be safe from his evil machinations as power is power and Bat Bat wants all of it, no matter who he has to cross in order to get it.

But who is the person behind the mask, behind all the power grabs and wanton chaos? Well despite his many flaws, you can at least count on Bad Bat’s consistency. In reality, this man’s alter ego is less a mask and more a reflection of the tainted soul that lives within him. He is not a trust fund kid playing dress-up as a villainous sociopath. He is a villainous sociopath with the endless resources of a trust fund kid.

Meet the Tech Ticklers (Bad Bat called them that and he won’t let it go), a father and son duo who will help you master your new robotic gauntlets as well as upgrade them as the opportunities arise. Lonnie, the father, is concerned with offence first and foremost. To a hammer everything looks like a nail and to Lonnie any problem can be solved by shooting it or blowing it up. On the other hand, Phillips (named for the screwdriver) is capable of the same technical wizardry but prefers to think outside the box rather than just blowing it up. He has some interesting ideas for how to make you the most effective henchman this city has ever seen.

Together they will be your greatest allies and best resource. With their help you will not have to fear anyone, they will fear you.

Bad Bat isn’t the only budding super villain in the city. Joe and his Amazing Technicolor Murderbear are also striving to establish themselves as the premier source of villainy, that isn’t currently publicly traded at least. With technological resources of an unknown origin, Joe has created his own sidekick. His Amazing Technicolor Murderbear might be every color of the rainbow but do not let that fool you, it is a 10 foot emotionless Murder-machine. With an impenetrable shell and razor sharp teeth and claws, Bad Bat or most likely just you will have to get creative in order to take it down. Joe is far more penetrable. Probably focus on him.
